Membership

You do not apply.
You get introduced.

There is no application form here, and no inbox to write to. Every person at this table was carried in by someone who already held a seat and was willing to attach their name to theirs. That is the entire mechanism — and it is the reason a referral from this group is worth something.

Two routes in

Both of them end at a person, not a form

01

You already know a member

Ask them. If they think you belong here, they put your name forward at a meeting and the group takes it from there. This is the route the whole thing is built around, and it is by far the fastest.

One seat is currently held. If you know that person, start there.

02

You do not know anyone yet

The directory is public for exactly this reason. Find the seat whose clients overlap most with yours — your CPA's clients are usually your clients too — and contact that person directly. Their direct line and direct email are on their page.

Make your case to them, not to us. If you convince them, they carry you in. If you do not, that is useful information about the fit.

Before you ask

What a member will want to know

Whoever puts your name forward is spending their own credibility to do it. Expect them to ask all of this before they will, and do not make them dig for it.

  1. 01Which seat you are asking about, and whether you have checked that it is open.
  2. 02How long the company has been operating under current ownership.
  3. 03Two clients they can actually call.
  4. 04What happens to a referral that reaches you at 4pm on a Friday.
  5. 05The last engagement that went badly, and what you did about it.
  6. 06Anyone else at the table who already knows your work.

The process

What happens once your name is put forward

  1. A member raises it

In a meeting, in front of the table — not over email. The person vouching for you says why, and the room hears it.

  2. The seat is checked

If your category is held, the answer is not now, and you will be told so plainly rather than left on a list.

  3. References and verification

We call the references. Licensing and insurance are checked where the category requires it. This part is not a formality, and it is where most conversations end.

  4. You visit a meeting

Once, as a guest. The members meet you. Any member can raise a concern, and a serious one stops the process.

  5. The seat is offered

Terms, dues, and a start date are agreed, your profile goes up in the directory with your direct contact details, and the category closes behind you.
